Myler O
Ring & D Ring
Ron, Dale, and Bob Myler have designed an entire bitting system to effectively communicate with any horse at any level of training. Based on bitting a horse appropriately for his level of training, the system works by releasing points of pressure and using softer bits as the horse progresses. Each mouthpiece is coordinated to a horse's training level. These levels serve as a guide to bit selection and you match horse and rider's needs. Many Myler bits feature independent side movement. Their patented bushing system allows the shank to pivot independently with outward rein pressure without turning the mouthpiece purchase or headstall. This allows the horse to respond to the most subtle rein pressure, making him a much more responsive horse. All bits are made of stainless steel, with many incorporating other metals.
Level one horse - Horse has had little or no previous training. This horse is learning basic gaits, transitions and obedience. A level one horse has just begun to break at the poll.
Level two horse - Basic training is established. This horse is relaxed at the poll and holds its position when the rein is released. A level two horse can collect, bend, side pass and perform lead changes.
Level three horse - This horse is considered broke or finished. He is willing and quick to respond, relaxed at the poll and works well off seat, legs and hands.
